10 Months, Inspector Enzo

February 16th was the day that marked Enzo being 10 months old. He is such a silly little boy with a fun loving spirit. He just loves to play & find new things to inspect around the house. This day it was the ladder that needed to be okayed by Inspector Enzo.

Shelli Moves, Stephen Visits

Shelli decided that she needed to move back to California. We were super sad to see her leave, but we know and understand that she had to do what was best for her. She has lived with us for the past 17 months & it has been great. She was such a great help with everything, especially Enzo. He loves his Aunt Shelli & they have a very unique bond. She could get him to giggle & laugh anytime. The minute he saw her come in from school or work at night or downstairs in the morning he would get the biggest smile & have to say hello to her. I loved having a sister live with me again, it gets lonely being the only sibling that lives away from home , so when she started discussing plans for hair school in Utah, I was thrilled that she would be living with us. We had a lot of fun running errands, shopping, baking & cooking. She was my second set of hands & I am so grateful for all that she did for me & my family while she was here. She is a wonderful friend & my favorite younger sister. ( I could say little, but I am much shorter than her) One day she will be a great wife, a loving mother & the best hair stylist in the state of California!!!
I miss her so much already & its only been a week & a half.

There was one happy thing that came from Shelli moving & that was that our brother, Stephen, flew in to help her pack & drive home. It was great to see him & to spend a few days catching up with what was going on in his life. He is such a quick witted & funny guy, you really never stop laughing when you are around him. Enzo just loved him & thought he was a pretty neat Uncle.

Trash Kid

I took the kitchen trash out to our outside garbage bin & as I came back inside, I found Enzo in our trash cans hiding place. Silly boy!

Front Porch Photo Shoot

I took Enzo outside to try to get a few porch photos. He was so excited to be outside it was hard for him to concentrate on Mom & the camera, so this is what we got. I love them because it shows his fun personality that we love so much.

Active Little Guy

Enzo loves to go in our Kitchen Pantry & play with anything that he can get his hands on. He found this soda pop bottles that I had in there for a baby shower & just loved playing with them.

Later that day he decided to crawl away after a bum change. He did n't want his pants on his legs so I put them on his head. He thought is was pretty styling!

Loves & Hates

Enzo LOVES stairs. If he could climb up & down them all day, I think he would. Since he doesn't understand how to climb down the stairs we have had to put up baby gates to keep Enzo off the stairs unless Dad or Mom is right there with him. Enzo HATES baby gates. He has tried to climb over, under & through both of them to get to his beloved stairs.

Racing Cars

Enzo & I enjoyed a fun day filled with racing some of his favorite cars. For Christmas my sister Lindsey & her family got Enzo some very cool pull back cars from the movie CARS 2. I set up some orange cones to show where the finish line was  & Enzo began zooming the cars through it (okay maybe with a little help from me.) We had a great time playing & teaching Enzo how to really use his cars instead of just chase them down.

9 month Stats

It seems like the past 9 months have gone by so quickly! It really doesn't seem like our little guy is already 9 months old, but he is. Here are his stats from his 9 month visit with the doctor.

29.9 inches long (90%)
19 lbs 11 oz (35%)
Head Circumference 45.2 cm (50%)

The adventures of Enzo

Enzo loves a good adventure. Since he has mastered the skills of crawling, standing up with support, walking along furniture, opening drawers & cabinets, walking while scooting stools, climbing & closing doors; he has many adventures every single day.

Bringing in the New Year

2012 is here & we are going full speed ahead.  We celebrated New Year's Eve with Ray & Melissa. We kept it pretty low key with movies, games, lots of yummy food and finally watching the ball drop at midnight. We had such a great year in 2011 & know that 2012 will continue to be great & even more exciting, especially as Enzo starts walking & running around!

Christmas 2011

We were able to enjoy Christmas in California with both Matt's Family as well as mine this year. It was great to see everyone & super neat to see how excited Enzo was to see all his cousins, aunts, uncles & grandparents. Even though Enzo was only 8.5 months old he loved Christmas or at least the wrapping paper. We ended up having 4 different Christmas' while in California & 1 in Utah (before we left). How about that Enzo was able to enjoy five 1st Christmas'. Each was unique & filled with lots of family and fun.

Christmas #1 @ Home

Matt, Enzo & I exchanged gifts before we headed to California. I did not want to pack gifts,  just to open them on Christmas Day and then repack them. It was a good thing we did this too because we ended up renting a car (or a tin can) since our car was having some work done on it & we didn't want to spend a fortune in gas by driving the truck. Enzo loved helping us open presents.

Christmas #2 @ Poll's

We enjoyed a great night with Matt's Sister Tammy & her family as well as Sara & her family. We ate the best Mexican food, visited & exchanged gifts.

Christmas #3 @ Grandpa Fawcett's
It's a Christmas tradition on my Dad's side for Christmas Eve to be spent at Grandpa Fawcett's house. The cousins exchange gifts and we are able to enjoy each others company. The group was small this year, but it was fun to see everyone that could make it & for Enzo to meet his Great Grandpa Fawcett.

Christmas #4 Fawcett's Christmas Morning

We got up super early on Christmas Morning, lined up from youngest to oldest in the hallway and made our way into the living room where santa left all sorts of goodies. Dad cooked us breakfast which was super yummy. Then we all rushed to get ready for 9am church where we enjoyed a very nice Christmas Program.  Enzo loved finding out what Great Grandma Holman had gotten him (the hippo). He could see the top of it all week and constantly would attack it.

Christmas #5 Poll Family Christmas Afternoon

After church we headed over to Matt's parents house to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Dinner. It was a lot of fun to see the rest of the family & for Enzo to get to see all of his cousins. Enzo enjoyed all the wrapping paper as we unwrapped more gifts. He loved the train that Grandpa & Grandma Poll got him.
