Enzo and Matt have the cutest Daddy/Son relationship. Enzo just loves his Daddy so much and Matt loves Enzo. It so much fun to watch them interact with each other. They love to wrestle and play soccer with each other. Enzo is glued to Matt's side the minute he walks in the door from work and just wants to do whatever his Daddy is doing. He loves to cuddle with Matt each night. It just melts my heart to see how these two love each other. I pray they will always have this close and loving Daddy/Son relationship.
Last week Matt left for Lake Powell with some of the YM from our ward. When it was time for Enzo to say goodbye to his Daddy he gave him hug after hug after hug. Finally I had to tell Matt he needed to just walk away or Enzo would hug him all day long. It took a few more hugs before Matt got in the truck to drive off. About 30 minutes after we had said goodbye to Matt and the YM in the church parking lot, Enzo started heading to the door trying to open it. He had been playing in the playroom and had seen Matt and the rest of the trucks pull up in front of our house. (They needed some air in a tire on a trailer). Enzo was banging at the back door, when I opened it he ran out to see his Daddy. Again it took about 5 hugs from Enzo for Matt to be able to leave on the trip. Throughout the week that Matt was gone, Enzo would go to our bedroom door and knock looking for "Dada". I would have to explain Daddy was out of town and would be back in a few days, a few hours later we would be searching the bedroom and house for "Dada". Finally, Tuesday rolled around and Matt would be home. Enzo was in his room sleeping and for some reason I had not shut his curtains on his window all the way so he could see out to the driveway. About 3pm I hear Enzo screaming "DADA, DADA, DADA...." I went up to make sure he was okay. He was pointing to the window and sure enough Daddy's truck was out front. Enzo ran to the back door and waited very impatiently for me to open it. We walked outside and as soon as Matt was done backing the boat and trailer in, Enzo gave him the biggest hug ever. He was so happy to see his Daddy. He would not let Matt out of his sight the rest of the night. They cuddled on the couch, played soccer & played with the dogs, before it was finally time for Enzo to go to bed.

I Work Out
Back in January, Matt & I made a little wager as to who could be in the best shape by the time we went on our April vacation to Cabo San Lucas. We decided that whoever, gained for Matt or lost for me, the most weight by the beginning of April, would get a nice amount of cash to spend on themselves before and during the cruise. At first I was a bit uneasy by this wager as I had been struggling with losing the weight I had gained from being pregnant with Enzo. For some very odd reason I was under the impression that I would be able to lose the 59 + lbs I had gained while pregnant with Enzo, very quickly and with little work on my end. I thought that as long as I breastfeed the extra weight would just melt off. Well that was not the case for me. It seemed like my body just wanted to hold on to it. I have never really had an issue with losing weight previously, most of the time if I noticed my clothes were fitting a little tighter I would just change my eating habits and would notice a change fairly quickly. Anyways, I was up for the challenge and it may have just been the motivation that I needed. I was starting to really struggle with the fact that Enzo would be turning a year soon and that I was still holding on to an extra 30 lbs. I was not happy at all and was super upset that I had no clothes to wear on this upcoming cruise as I refused to buy clothes, since I really liked my pre-pregnancy clothes and had hopes and dreams of fitting into them by that year mark. I started working out in the early morning hours and lost about 7 lbs in 2 months. I was super excited and highly motivated to continue, but the early morning workouts were extremely hard on me as Enzo suddenly decided that he didn't need to sleep through the night. I soon realized that I would not be able to workout in the mornings and I would have to find a new exercise program. Right about this time my neighbor announced that she would start teaching fitness classes 6 days a week. I was so excited to attend all of her wonderful classes & hoped that these classes would help me continue to lose the extra weight that I had. I soon asked if she would be willing to do some personal training with me, which she was happy to take on. By the time the April vacation rolled around I had lost 13 lbs and has won the cash prize. Matt insisted that I won by default as he got the flu a few days before our last weigh in and lost a lot of the weight he had gained. I on the other hand knew that I won because I worked my butt off every day and went the entire month of March without any unnatural sugars. I have continued to lose weight and inches and was so excited that I was finally able to fit back into a pair of pre-pregnancy jeans with no muffin top in May. As of today I have lost 15 lbs since January. I am probably in the best shape of my life & I enjoy working out. I am super motivated to continue and enjoy the new lifestyle that I have been creating for myself over the past several months. I am so grateful for a wonderful friend/personal trainer that continues to encourage & push me to my limit each week. I hope to start running a few times a week over this next month to mix up my workouts a little & see if I can start enjoying a nice run, which I never thought I would even be thinking about running as an enjoyable activity.
So the picture on the left is one that I really wanted nobody to ever see, but that is what I looked like the end of December 2011. The picture on the right is from May 2012, the day I could get my pre-pregnancy jeans on and not have a muffin top.
June 2012 Goals
Start running 1-2 times per week
Eat little to none unnatural sugar
Workout at least 5-6 hours a week
Eat more veggies
Drink lots of water & no soda (even sips)

A Cruising We Shall Go...
Matt & I were able to enjoy a week cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with our friends, The Lewis'. It was a fun & much needed getaway. Cabo is such a neat place to visit; its so warm, lively & the beaches are so calm & beautiful. We had a great time walking the streets & visiting all the shops. Matt of course loved bartering with the locals. The boys enjoyed a morning of scuba diving were they got to see a shark, lots of fish and marine life, while us girls enjoyed the fish & marine life by snorkeling. Cruising was a great adventure as well with constant entertainment and food. We enjoyed the week away, but both were super excited to see our little man when we got home. Thanks to our parents and siblings for watching Enzo while we were gone, you could tell he was well cared for & enjoyed every minute of being spoiled by his Aunts, Uncles & Grandparents.
Formal Night (yes someone forgot our formal wear on the mainland)
So we improvised & weren't the most formal, but thats okay!
